Dr Carr-Boyd obtained his Medical degree with honours from The University of Sydney, and obtained Fellowship with The Royal Australiasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery.
He spent two years receiving sub-specialist training in HPB/UGI surgery at Auckland City Hospital and The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, as part of the ANZHPBA clinical fellowship program, and a further two years focusing on Adult and Paediatric Liver Transplantation with The New Zealand Transplant Unit, The Children’s Hospital Westmead, and The Children’s Hospital, Pittsburgh. He has also completed the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre Advanced Robotics Training Program.
Dr Carr-Boyd completed a Master of Surgery focusing on colorectal cancer liver metastases and has recently completed The Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program.
