Mr Travis Ackermann is a specialist Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and General Surgeon with expertise in advanced minimally invasive (laparoscopic/keyhole) and open techniques.
After completing a degree in Biomedical Science (BSc. Hon) at Victoria University, Mr Ackermann completed his medical studies at the Australian National University (MBBS Hon). Following these studies, he returned to Melbourne and in 2017 he was awarded his FRACS after completing General Surgery training at Monash Health. He then completed a further three years of postgraduate fellowship training, at the Canberra Hospital, Monash Medical Centre and Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide through the Australian & New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic & Biliary Association (ANZHPBA) training programme. In addition, Mr Ackermann has pursued his interests further in minimally invasive surgery through a number of international workshops in Tokyo, Japan and Strasbourg, France.
